International Boxing Tournament Konstantin Korotkov Memorial is completed in Khabarovsk, Russia. The event lasted five competition days, from 14 – 18 May, with 70 boxers among elite men and women from 15 countries. Azerbaijan, Belarus, Central African Republic, China, Congo, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Mongolia, Nigeria, Russia, Serbia, Tajikistan, Tunisia and Uzbekistan took part this year, and boxed at the Platinum Arena in Khabarovsk.
This was the 47th edition of the tournament named after Konstantin Korotkov, the Soviet Union hero from World War II. 56 men and 14 women boxers competed in all 13 men’s and 6 women’s weight categories. Women boxed in 50 kg, 54 kg, 57 kg, 60 kg, 66 kg and 75 kg weight divisions.
In team rankings, the most successful country was Uzbekistan. They participated in Khabarovsk with a strong team, led by Olympic champions Hasanboy Dusmatovand Bakhodir Jalolov. Second best team was Russia, and the third place went to Belarus.
