Sofia, Bulgaria is a host of the EUBC U23 European Boxing Championships. The best European boxers, born between 2002 and 2005, participate at this important competition which started today with the technical meeting and official draw, held at the hotel Moskva. Boxing will start tomorrow at 2 pm at the Sofia Sports Hall. The EUBC Technical Delegate of the championships is Mr. Dragoljub Radovic from Montenegro.
The 2024 edition of this championships has boxers from 35 national teams. There are altogether 327 participants, 109 women and 218 men from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, Estonia, France, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, IBA Neutral N, IBA Neutral B, Ireland, Israel, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine and Wales.
Preliminary bouts, quarterfinals and semifinals will last until 17 October. Next day will be the rest day in Sofia, while the finals will be boxed in two days, on 19 and 20 October. Every day until the finals, two sessions will start at 2 pm and 5.30 pm. As always, the livestream will be available on the EUBC official YouTube channel.
