The 53rd Golden Gong International Tournament, held in SkopjeNorth Macedonia from 3 – 7 May is successfully completed. After three days of boxing in Boris Trajkovski Sports Hall, all the medal winners were revealed. Boxers from 13 countries took part at the 2024 edition, altogether 30 men and 7 women athletes. Trophies for the best boxers went to Sandra Drabik, who fought in the 57 kg weight category, and Kirill Globenko, who boxed in 67 kg, both of them representing team Poland.

The best R&J is IBA 2-star referee Frosina Maneva. Trophy for the best technical boxer went to ex world champion from Japan Sevonrets Okazawa, while the best fight in the finals was between Nik Nikolov Veber from Slovenia and Dimitrios Nikolaou from Greece. The best local boxer is Alen Rustemovski, who achieved three wins at the tournament, and the most promising boxer is AkselHegarty from Wales. 

The North Macedonia Boxing Federation organized this event at a high level. Tournament was held in May for the first time, since before it was traditionally organized in November, and for the first time women boxers were included.
