The site visit for the EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships was held in the city of Porec, Croatia. Representatives of the Croatian Boxing Federation have hosted Mr. Maxim Certicovtev, the EUBC Competition Committee Chair, and Mr. Dragoljub Radovic, the EUBC Technical Delegate of the upcoming event. Meetings with the hotels’ and venue management, and the city government were organized in Porec on 13th and 14th February, with the presence of Mr. Bono Bosnjak, the President of Croatian Boxing Federation and his closest associates Mr. Jurica Runtic and Mrs. Nikolina Juric.

This is going to be the second European Championships organized in this city within the period of two years. In March of 2022, Porec was the host of U22 Europeans. It was a big event with 32 participating countries and 319 boxers. Back then the LOC proved their abilities to organize the Championships at a high level, and the same expectation is present this time.

“City of Porec has great conditions for organizing such an event, and we are very satisfied to host the EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships here”, Mr. Certicovtev stated. “We have full trust in the Local Organizing Committee and the Croatian Boxing Federation, who have a lot of experience in organizing major competitions. The last event we had in 2022 was truly memorable, and we are looking forward to another successful championship.”

The EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships this year will be available for boxers born in 2006 and 2007. It will be held from 2nd – 15th April.
