The International boxing tournament Oil Countries Boxing Cup is being held in the Russian city of Nizhnevartovsk. This event, organized by the Russian Boxing Federation, gathered 165 boxers from 16 countries. 115 elite men and 50 elite women from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Republic of Congo, Cuba, Georgia, Guinea, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Nigeria, Russia, Serbia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan box in all 13 men’s and 12 women’s weight categories. The EUBC Technical Delegate is Mr. Petr Vinnik from Belarus. 

The first day of boxing was on Monday, 25 March, and the finals will be held on Friday, 29 March. All expenses, including plane tickets from Moscow to Nizhnevartovsk and back, are covered by the Russian Boxing Federation. Tournament is organized for the twentieth time in the memory of Farman Kurbanovich Salmanov, Russian geologist famous for discovering great oil fields in Western Siberia.
