The city of Loznica will be host of the EUBC Balkan Boxing Championships which will be held from 16 – 24 November. This is going to be the second EUBC championship organized in Serbia in 2024, since the EUBC Elite Men’s and Women’s Championships was held in Belgrade earlier this year. The city of Loznica is known as ‘boxing city’, with a long tradition of noble art.
The EUBC Balkan Boxing Championships will be held for three age groups, among men and women. Besides elite, youth and junior boxers will also participate at this event, which will gather athletes from 14 countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Montenegro, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine.
‘In such a partnership, it is easy to organize a competition, especially considering that the fights will be broadcast directly on TV Arena Fight, also our partner, and that viewers throughout the region will have the opportunity to follow all the matches, and that spectators in the “Lagator” sports hall will have the opportunity to enjoy top level boxing. The grand opening is on 18 November, with a musical and cultural-artistic program, and the city and the audience of Loznica certainly deserve it. I believe that the sports hall will be as full as it used to be, because “Lagator” is the “temple of boxing” and I am sure that this will be confirmed at the Balkan Championship’, stated NenadBorovcanin, the President of the Serbian Boxing Federation.
