The Kosovo Boxing Federation will host the Lah NimaniYouth Boxing Tournament from 18 – 19 May. This traditional event will last two days and will be held at the Palace of Youth and Sports in Pristina. First day boxing will start at 4 pm, while the second boxing day starts at 12 pm. The EUBC Technical Delegate is Mr. Viorel Simafrom Romania.
This year’s participants will be from Albania, Bulgaria, Poland, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Ukraine and Kosovo. The tournament is named after Lah Nimani, famous and celebrated boxing coach from Kosovo, who participated with team Yugoslavia at several Olympics and many other major competitions.
‘We are really happy and satisfied to host this traditional tournament for the 16th time, and as always we will do our best to make all participants feel comfortable,’ stated Mr. Latif Demolli, IBA 3-star R&J and Kosovo Boxing Federation representative. ‘This year we have boxers from seven countries, which is more than before. That is another indicator that boxing in Kosovo is developing year by year, which motivates all of us involved in this sport to continue the same way in the future.’
