Vrbas, a city in north-west Serbia, is going to be the host of the 8th Juniors Nations Cup international boxing tournament, which will take place from 7 – 13 May. Junior boys and girls boxers will participate in 13 men’s and 13 women’s weight categories. The organizer of this event is Boxing club Carnok in cooperation with the Serbian Boxing Federation.
Arrival day is 7 May, competition days will be 8 – 12 May, while departures are on 13 May. The venue, like the previous years, will be Drago Jovovic Sports Hall. According to the preliminary registrations, 100 boxers, 28 girls and 72 boys, are planning to box in Vrbas. Ten countries confirmed their participation up to now. Besides boxers from Serbia, there will also be Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kazakhstan, North Macedonia, Italy, Montenegro and Panama.
Last year’s edition of this tournament gathered 83 boxers from 10 countries. The most successful teams were Hungary, Serbia and Croatia.
