One of the oldest international tournaments in Europe, Golden Gong, is going to be held for the 53rd time next weekend in Skopje, North Macedonia. This event was traditionally organized in November, but this year, for the first time, North Macedonia Boxing Federation decided to place it in May, mostly because of the Olympic Games.
Unlike previous years, when the boxing was organized in two competition days, this time one more day was added. Technical Meeting and Official Draw will be held on Friday, 3 May, and boxing is on program in the Boris Trajkovski Sports Hall from 4 – 6 May. Departures will be on 7 May.
The EUBC Technical Delegate of the tournament will be Mr. Dragoljub Radovic. According to registration, as many as twenty countries are planning to participate. Besides the host country, there will also be Albania, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden and Wales.
