The IBA Youth World Boxing Championships in BudvaMontenegro came to an end. After the rest day on 1 November, the first part of finals was held yesterday. In the truly amazing atmosphere of the Mediterranean Sports Centre, thirteen World champions were crowned.

There were 13 bouts, six among women and seven among men. The most successful teams of yesterday’s finals are Kazakhstan and Russia, who managed to win three gold medals each. ChinaIreland and Uzbekistan have two champions each, while Mexico won the gold medal in the first bout of the program.

World champions by the weight category are:

Women 48 kg – Valeria Pizarro Amparan (Mexico)

Women 52 kg – Snezhana Kuznetsova (Russia)

Women 57 kg – Miqi Wang (China)

Women 63 kg – Siofra Lawless (Ireland)

Women 70 kg – Alimire Abudureyimu (China)

Women 81 kg – Aruzhan Zeinollayeva (Kazakhstan)

Men 48 kg – Sayfiddin Sabirov (Uzbekistan)

Men 54 kg – Viacheslav Rogozin (Russia)

Men 60 kg – Platon Kozlov (Russia)

Men 67 kg – Sabyrkhan Torekhan (Kazakhstan) 

Men 75 kg – Sanzhar-Ali Begaliyev (Kazakhstan) 

Men 86 kg – Akmaljon Isroilov (Uzbekistan)

Men +92 kg – Adam Olaniyan (Ireland) 

The second part of the IBA Youth World Boxing Championships finals is on program today, starting at 4 pm.
