Eighteen countries will have their boxers in the finals of the EUBC U23 European Boxing Championships. Six daysafter the first bout in Sofia, Bulgaria, all the medallists are known. Athletes from 35 national teams, 327 of them in total, participate at this major European event. There are 109 women and 218 men from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, Estonia, France, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, IBA Neutral N, IBA Neutral B, Ireland, Israel, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine and Wales.
October 18th is the rest day in Sofia. All the women’s finals will be boxed one day later, starting at 4 pm, and men’s finals are on program on 20 October.
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, England, France, Georgia, Greece, IBAB, Ireland, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine are countries with representatives in the finals. In the women’s part of the competition, teams with the most boxers in the finals are Ukraine (5), Turkey (4), Serbia (3), England and Ireland (2), etc. In the men’s part of the championships, the most successful are Ukraine (6), Armenia (4), Azerbaijan and England (3), Bulgaria and Ireland (2), etc.
