The President of the European Boxing Confederation – EUBC, Dr. Ioannis Filipatos was a special guest of BF Boxing. He arrived specially in Sofia on Sunday to watch live the finals of Europe’s oldest international boxing tournament, the Strandja Tournament 2024. Dr. Filippatos expressed his satisfaction with the level of development and organization of the 75th anniversary edition of the tournament.

“As every year, so now, the Bulgarian Boxing Federation and Mr. Krasimir Ininski have once again managed at the highest possible level. “Strandja” Cup is a tournament that has always served as an example with its organization and the quality of boxing matches. I am very glad that the interest in the tournament is so great. The hall was full of people, which also shows the love for our sport. Congratulations on what you are doing. I know that in you we have an excellent partner on whom we can always count. You are about to organize the European Championship for men and women under 22 at the end of the year. An event that I am convinced will once again be at the highest level,” Dr. Filippatos said during his visit to Sofia.
