The EUBC Junior European Boxing Championships will take place in the city of Ploiesti, Romania, from 19th to 31st July. Today, at the City Hall of Ploiesti – Romania, President of EUBC President, Dr. Ioannis Filippatos and EUBC Technical Delegate of this Championships, Dragoljub Radovic, had a meeting with the Mayor, Andrei Liviu Volosevici and the LOC from Romania.

The Mayor was accompanied by Titi Tudor, the Coach of Leonard Dorin, amateur and professional World Champion and honorary citizen of Ploiesti, Daniel Ion who is General Secretary of Romanian Boxing Federation, and Viorel Sima, Director of External Relations of RBF, the Competition Manager of the competition.

“We are proud to host this European Championships in our city and we will do everything to have a 5-star competition. Together with Romanian Boxing Federation we will do our job very well”, Mayor Volosevici said. The Mayor displayed a pair of boxing gloves at the meeting with the EUBC President as a sign and a mark of promise to provide full support for the event.

“I saw the hotels for Team Delegations, the venue and everything is perfect. Also the distances between hotels and venues, competition and training, are very short. I congratulate Romanian Boxing Federation for choosing the city of Ploiesti and I am confident that the junior boxers from all over Europe will have in this city the best conditions to demonstrate their skills”, commented EUBC President Dr. Ioannis Filippatos.
