International Boxing Association World Championships 2025 — A Historic Moment for Global Boxing

More than 400 athletes from 108 countries have gathered in Dubai for the 2025 IBA Men’s Elite World Boxing Championships — one of the most significant and ambitious editions in the history of Olympic-style boxing. The scale of participation highlights the global reach and prestige of the event, uniting the world’s top talents in a truly international arena.

This year’s Championships feature a record-breaking USD 8.32 million prize pool, making it the richest tournament ever organised by the International Boxing Association (IBA). The prize distribution model represents a groundbreaking approach: 50% of each prize goes to the boxer, 25% to their coach, and 25% to their national federation. This structure is designed to empower not only the athletes themselves, but the entire support network behind them — a bold step forward for the sport.
