Budva, a beautiful city on the Adriatic coast and a host of many major boxing events in
recent years, will again attract attention at the end of this month. From 20 October – 4
November this Montenegrin city will be the organizer of the IBA Youth World Boxing
Championships.
Even though the Montenegro Boxing Association has a lot of experience in holding
continental championships and World cups, this competition is going to be the biggest
boxing event organized in Montenegro. According to the registration, 660 boxers from 88 countries will take part in this important event.
The technical meeting and official draw will be held on 22 October, while the boxing, at
the Mediterranean Sports Centre, will start one day later. Grand finale will be held on 2
and 3 November.
The International Boxing Association will again do something unprecedented. The IBA
will cover accommodation and meals expenses for all participating boxers and three
coaches per national team.
During the championships, on 31 October in Budva, the EUBC Ordinary Congress
Meeting will take place.
