After seven days of boxing, the EUBC Schoolboys & Schoolgirls European Boxing Championships in B has come to an end. 363 boxers from thirty countries took part at this event, 240 among boys and 123 among girls. The grand finale was held in Borik Sports Hall, where 29 bouts were boxed in two sessions.

First session has brought us some interesting fights among schoolgirls. There were thirteen women’s finals, and for the best boxer was chosen phenomenal Amelia Urban from Poland, who participated in the 46 kg weight category. Team Poland also received a trophy for second place in teams ranking.

The best boxer among boys went to outstanding Englishman Billy Long. He boxed in the 54 kg weight class, and had a great competition in Banja Luka, defeating five opponents on his way to the gold medal. Team England was ranked third place at the championships.

The best R&J is Mr. Giuseppe de Palma from Italy, while the trophy for the best team belongs to team Russia. They managed to win 18 medals at this championships, which put them far ahead of everyone else. Russia has eleven European champions in Banja Luka, England and Poland have three gold medalists each, while Italy, Ireland, Moldova and Armenia have two champions each. 

City of Banja Luka has met the expectations in regards to organization. The venue was truly amazing and spectacular. The LOC made a lot of effort to welcome all participants in the best possible way, and to make sure that everyone takes nice memories from this city.
