After four competition days in SofiaBulgaria, all medalists are known at Strandja 2025. This traditional tournament, the oldest in Europe, has 222 boxers participating this time, and during the next three days semifinals and finals will be boxed at the Sofia Sports Hall. Up to now, the high quality boxing was seen at Strandja, and the final stage is promising even better and more exciting fights.

Kazakhstan is a team with the most boxers in both men’s and women’s competition. They are really dominating this tournament, and they managed to win as many as 33 medals. They will have 15 women’s boxers in the semis, as well as 18 men.

Turkey also came with a big women’s team, and they will have 11 boxers in the last four. The only men’s representative of team Turkey, current European champion Samet Gumus, is also in the semifinals, and he will box against Uzbekistan’ Asilbek Jalilov.

Bulgaria, France, Italy and China have 3 medalists each, Chinese Taipei, Greece and England have 2, while Ireland and Kosovo have 1 boxer each in the women’s part of competition.   

Kazakhstan has the most medalists in the men’s competition, too. They will have 18 boxers in the semifinals. Uzbekistan follows with 8 boxers, Bulgaria has 5, and Azerbaijan and Ireland have 4 medalists each.

Sabri Ergunal (48kg), Radoslav Rosenov (60kg), Viktorio Iliev (63,5kg), Rami Kiwan (75kg) and Semion Boldirev (86kg) will represent Bulgaria in the semis of the Strandja 2025. Besides Boldirev, who is the new face in the elite Bulgarian team, the rest are pretty experienced and decorated boxers, who will undoubtedly delight the local boxing fans.
