International tournament among junior boys and girls age groups has ended in Vrbas, Serbia. The 8th Juniors Nations Cup was held from 7 – 13 May, and this year gathered boxers from ten countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Panama and Serbia. Altogether 99 athletes, including 26 girls and 73 boysfought in Vrbas during the last six days. The EUBC Technical Delegate was Mr. Dragoljub Radovic from Montenegro.
Tournament was organized by the Boxing club Carnokand the Serbian Boxing Federation. All bouts were held in one ring at the Drago Jovovic Sports Hall. Overall organization of the event was at a decent level, which is expected, since the LOC has a lot of experience.
At the end, trophies for the best boxers among boys and girls went to Khuanshuly Zhanarbek from Kazakhstan and Sonja Vuksic from Serbia, while the best local boxers were Marija Lukic and Pavle Popovic. Boxers with the best technical skills were both from Kazakhstan, Sofia Vashchenko and Yerassyl Maratov, and the best foreign boxers were Tsakaleli Paraskevi from Greece and VasilijeKujundzic from Montenegro.
The best R&J of the 8th Juniors Nations Cup is Mr. Nemanja Milutinovic, IBA 2-Star referee from Serbia.
