The Rakovica Sports Center in Belgrade, Serbia is going to be the venue for the upcoming 62nd Belgrade Winnerinternational boxing tournament. One of the oldest boxing tournaments in Europe, organized for the elite men and women, will be held from 4 – 10 February. This will be the second international tournament in Serbia in 2025, after successfully finishing 14th Nations Cup one week ago.
The tournament has a long tradition, and being held during the March, April or May, most of the time was one of the main preparation tournaments for major events. It will be the same this time, since the IBA Women’s World Championships is going to be held in Nis, Serbia next March. Also, the IBA Men’s World Championships is planned for May or June, according to the calendar.
Last year, boxers from 16 countries took part, with 128 boxers among elite women and men. There were 35 elite women and 93 elite men boxers. Trophy for the best boxer went to Tomislav Djinovic, the lightweight from Montenegro. After four great victories against athletes from Hungary, Serbia, Armenia and Russia, Djinovic deserved this prestigious trophy.
