The EUBC Elite Men and Women European Boxing Championships is ready to start in Belgrade, Serbia. Technical Meeting and Official Draw, run by Mr. ViorelSima, experienced boxing official from Romania, is completed at the Hotel Jugoslavija, and the final numbers are known. 34 countries, including one IBA Neutral team, represented by the boxer Megan de Cler, will try to win medals this time.

Altogether 337 boxers traveled to Belgrade, 121 womenand 216 men from following countries: Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey.

On the same day, before the Technical Meeting and Official Draw, the Integrity Forum 2024 was organized by the EUBC Ethics Committee. The agenda of the Integrity Forum has been designed for the athletes, coaches and athletes’ support personnel to make them aware of the importance of having an Integrity Code and to learn what are the integrity issues around boxing. Speakers at the forum were Mr. Giovanni Di Cola, Mr. Alessandro Oliveiro, Mrs. Marija Andjelkovic, Mr. Nenad Dikic and Mr. Jean Francois Reymond.

Boxing in Belgrade will start today at 3 pm, with bouts on two rings. There will be only one session, while the Opening Ceremony is planned at 7 pm.
