One of the famous women’s European boxing tournaments, the Nations Cup is going to be held from 12 – 20 Januaryin the city of Sombor, Serbia. This is going to be 14th edition of an event organized for all four age groups among women, from schoolgirls to elite. The venue, as every year, is going to be Mostonga Sports Hall, while the tournament is organized by the Serbian Boxing Federation.
According to the official handbook, arrival days are 12 and 13 January. Technical meeting and official draw will be on 13 January, and the boxing will start one day later. Competition will last six days, with the finals planned for 19 January.
Last edition of the Nations Cup international tournament gathered 102 boxers from Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Serbia, Slovakia and Uzbekistan. The best boxer among elite boxers was Sara Miljkovic from Serbia, while the trophies for the best junior and youth boxers went to Kristina Borisenko from Russia and Emili Rzayeva from Azerbaijan.
