The Serbian city of Sombor was the host city of the 14th Nations Cup. This international boxing tournament, organized for women in all age groups, took place from 13 – 20 January. The local organizing committee once again confirmed organizational skills, hosting another great boxing event.
Competition period lasted six days, with the last eleven final bouts held yesterday. The EUBC Technical Delegate of the tournament was Mr. Viorel Sima from Romania.
The best boxer of the tournament is Dragana Jovanovicfrom Serbia. She boxed in the 52 kg weight category, and in the finals she was better of Madeline Gittins from England by unanimous decision.
Trophies also went to Jessica Triebelova from Slovakia, Haley Sioban from England, Sara Miljkovic from Serbia, Jelena Zekic from Serbia and Evita Evirjanova from Russia. The best R&Js are Jovana Ugrenovic and EvgeniaShestopalova.
In team rankings, Russia took the first place, Serbia was second, while the team England finished this competition in third position.
