The first international tournament in the calendar of the European Boxing Confederation is going to be held in the city of Sombor, Serbia. The 14th Nations Cup, a competition organized for the women in all four age groups, is going to start with the technical meeting and official draw on 13 January. The ring will be set up in the Mostonga Sports Hall, and it will be on program from 14 – 19 January.
According to the preliminary entry forms, some of the top boxing nations are registered to participate in Sombor. In addition to others, the best boxers from Russia, Kazakhstan, England, Romania, Croatia, Slovakia, are coming to Serbia.
The Nations Cup international women’s tournament was first organized in the same city back in 2012. During the years, it was also organized in the cities of Zrenjanin, Vrbasand Ruma, but from 2018 the tournament will be held in Sombor.
