The 67th Golden Glove international boxing tournament, one of the oldest in Europe, was successfully done in the city of Nis, Serbia. Unlike previous years, this time junior and youth boxers were allowed to participate. The event lasted five days and gathered 112 boxers from 16 countries, including Albania, Armenia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cuba, Greece, Israel, Moldova, North Macedonia, Malta, Romania, Russia, Slovenia and Serbia.
The best boxers among elite women and men are DraganaJovanovic and Nazif Sejdi, both from Serbia. Jovanovicboxed in the 54 kg weight category. She is the winner of multiple medals from the European championships. NazifSejdi has fought in the 63,5 kg weight class. He was a bronze medallist at the EUBC U23 European Boxing Championships this year, and he closed the year with a phenomenal performance in Nis, winning this valuable trophy.
The trophy for the most technical boxer went to Igor Rogicfrom Serbia, who participated at the 71 kg weight category. The best foreign boxer is David Surov from Russia, who boxed in the +92 kg. The best boxer among juniors is Vasilije Djurdjevic from Serbia, and trophies for the best contest went to Hristofer Dimitrov and Ognjen Antic. North Macedonia’s Alen Rustemovski and Bulgaria’s Dima Toniev were awarded for the best elite men fight in the finals.
