The 21st Liventsev international boxing tournament was successfully completed in Minsk, Belarus. Thirty elite women and fifty elite men boxers, from ten countries, took part at this memorial tournament, organized in memory of the Soviet Union hero Victor Ilich Liventsev. Boxers from the host nation managed to win six gold medals, eleven silver and sixteen bronze.
The best male boxer is Maksim Pankov from Belarus. He boxed in the 60 kg weight category, and scored three wins by unanimous decision. The best female boxer is Yulia Apanasovich, also from Belarus. She fought in the 52 kg weight class, and managed to defeat two opponents from Russia on her way to the gold medal. The best coach is Konstantin Tupotilov, and the best R&Js are Saltykov Ruslan and Gleb Samarsky from Russia, and Sergey Parshin from Belarus.
Belarusian boxing veterans Baranov V.P., Kot A.A., Romanovsky S.N., Kremsky V.N., Badalyan V.V were awarded valuable prizes by the Chairman of the Belarusian Boxing Federation Alexander Miroslavovich Botvinnikas a sign of respect and for their contribution to the development of boxing.
