One of the oldest youth international tournaments in Europe, 42nd Golden Glove of Vojvodina, finished in the Serbian city of Subotica. 96 boxers, 77 men and 19 women, participated this year. Austria, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Scotland, Slovenia, Serbia and Turkey had their representatives at this event.
After five days of boxing, and 75 bouts, we have the champions in 13 men’s weight categories and 8 women’s, as well as trophy winners. Team Russia won the first place with seventeen gold medals, while Serbia, Belarus, Georgia and Scotland won one gold medal each. Serbia won second place in team standings, and third place went to Georgia.
Trophies for the best boxers were awarded to Sanja Miticfrom Serbia and Akhmad Aidamirov from Russia. The best foreign boxers are Snezhana Kuznetsova from Russia and Giorgi Natroshvili from Georgia. The most technical boxer is Taylor Gough from Scotland, while the best local boxer is Nikola Maksimovic. The best R&J is Igor Beschuk from Russia, and the same trophy for the Serbian R&J went to Radisa Saric.
