International tournament among youth men and women boxers, Golden Glove of Vojvodina, is going to be held for the 42nd time from 26 August – 02 September. Organizers of this traditional boxing event are the Serbian Boxing Federation, Vojvodina Boxing Association and Boxing Club Spartak from Subotica, the city where the competition will be held. Sports Hall Dudova Suma will once again gather the best European boxers 17 and 18 years old, who will box in all 13 men’s and 12 women’s weight categories.
Arrival day will be 26 August, Technical Meeting and Official Draw will be organized on 27 August, while boxing will start on 28 August. Finals bouts are on programme on 1 September, and departure day will be on 2 September. Deadline for registration is 15 August.
During the years, many young boxers participated at this tournament. Some of them were very successful throughout their careers, and managed to win the most prestigious competition. Among many, probably the most famous are Russian Egor Mekhontsev, Olympic, World and European champion, Bennama Billal from France, World silver medallist and two times European champion, and great super heavyweight from France Tony Yoka, Olympic Games champion and World champion.
