After successfully organizing and finishing Junior European Championships in Sarajevo last month, preparations are underway for the next major event. The EUBC Schoolboys & Schoolgirls European Boxing Championships is going to be held in the city of Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from 1 – 11 August. This event will gather athletes 13 and 14 years old, which is also the youngest age group at the European level. The last year’s edition of Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Europeans was held in Maribor, Slovenia, with an amazing 380 boxers from 32 countries.
Registration for Banja Luka 2024 is now open, and it will end on 15 July. Arrivals, Sport Entries Check, Technical Meeting and Official Draw will be on 1 and 2 August, while boxing will start one day later. The rest day is planned for 9 August, and final bouts will be on programme on 10 August. According to the rules, girls will compete in 13 and boys in 16 weight classes. EUBC Technical Delegate of the event will be Mr. Adam Kusiorfrom Poland.
The Local Organizing Committee from Banja Luka has already started preparations for this important event. City government, as well as the Republic of Srpskagovernment, greatly support this competition. The LOC is promising high level championships in Banja Luka, and a true boxing holiday for all participants. All the fights will be boxed at the famous Sports Hall Borik.
