Four days after the start of the EUBC Junior Boys and Girls European Boxing Championships in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, all medal winners among girls are known. Quarter-finals bouts were held today at the Hotel Hills. Altogether 130 female boxers took part at this championships, competing in 13 weight categories. Teams with the most boxers were Russia (13), Turkey (12), Ireland (12), while Poland and Romania participated with 10 female boxers.
Semi-finals are planned for Friday, 28 June, and it will be mixed for boys and girls. Russia has the most representatives in this stage. They once again showed their domination in this age group, and they will have 12representatives in the semis. After Russia, teams with the most boxers are Turkey (6), England (5), Romania (4), Serbia (4), Ireland (3). Bosnia and Herzegovina will have one girl in the semi-finals, since the 50 kg Sejla Biberovicdefeated Natasa Lukic from Serbia on points 4:1.
24 countries came with boxers among girls at this prestigious event, and 17 of them succeeded to win the medals. What will be the colour of the medals will be revealed on Sunday, 30 June, when the finals bouts will be held.
