The 5th Riga Ladies Boxing Cup was held in Latviacapital from 7 – 11 March. This year women boxers from ten countries took part. Exact 100 boxers from Belgium, England, Estonia, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Spain and Ukraine fought at the Hanzas Sports Hall. The EUBC Technical Delegate was Mr. WaldemarMencel from Austria.
The best boxer at this three days tournament among the elite age group was experienced Sandra Kruk from Poland. She defeated Latvia’s Laura Jakovleva in the lightweight finals by split decision. The best youth boxer was Nancy Shepherd from England, best junior Chloe Cox from Ireland, while the best boxer among Schoolgirls was Amelia Urban from Poland.
The most boxers competed in the Elite age group, 38, there were 13 among Youth, 16 Juniors and 33 among the Schoolgirls.
