The Youth World Boxing Cup Adriatic Pearl lived up to expectations and ended in spectacular fashion last Sunday. This extremely strong tournament was the best organised in its history, with 176 boxers and 23 countries boxing for the gold medals. The Montenegro Boxing Association has shown once again its capabilities to organize events at a high level. The Technical Delegate of this prestigious tournament was Mr. Adam Kusior from Poland.
 
After six days of boxing in the luxurious Hotel Splendid on the Adriatic Sea, the medallists were declared. The Russian team dominated the competition with fourteen gold medals, while the second and third place went to Cuba and Poland, whose boxers won three gold medals each. The best local R&J was Djordjije Perovic, the best R&J overall was Igor Beschuk from Russia. Andrey Bonilla from Mexico and Sofia Okhotnikova from Russia received the Best Technical Boxer awards male and female respectively, while the best boxers of the tournament were Mokhdan Makhauri from Russia and Anna-Maria Trifylli from Greece.
 
The EUBC President Mr. Ioannis Filippatos, EUBC Secretary General Ms. Ria Ramnarine and Monaco Boxing Federation Representative Mrs. Nikoleta Zavitsanou, graced the finals with their presence. They were very satisfied with the quality of the organisation and the quality of boxing that showed as well. The EUBC Board of Directors meeting also took place during the tournament.
 
The Youth World Boxing Cup Adriatic Pearl proved to be the greatest and strongest youth tournament in Europe at the moment. The Local Organizing Committee reiterated its aim which is to be recognized on the world boxing map, and to attract as many as national teams from different continents, contribute to the sport, and in a beautiful way represent the city, the country, and local and European boxing.
